This one was all about fly-ins. Gil Velez and
Rodney Swanson (www.Cessnas2Oshkosh.com)
discussed this year's mass arrival into
Oshkosh. Cal Tax returned (by popular
request) fresh with his new Stearman engine to
talk about the Galesburg National Stearman Flyin
(www.stearmanflyin.com). Regulars
Alan Armstrong and Rich Stowell rounded out the
show.
August 7
- This was a great show and an important one
for
all pilots concerned with FAA oversight of
general aviation. Aviation attorney Alan Armstrong, AvWeb's
Editor-in-Chief, Russ Niles, and the
president of the National Air Traffic
Controllers Association, Patrick Forrey
joined us to discuss the report of an FAA
directive to controllers to increase their
issuing of "traffic tickets" to pilots.
